Announcement 🎉
8 hours of pure engineering fire. From microcontrollers to edge-AI intelligence, the Superhuman Lab witnessed an absolute masterclass in shipping under pressure. The winners didn't just build a prototype — they forged a resilient, production-ready solution solving critical real-world problems. We're incredibly proud of every single builder who turned ideas into functional silicon today!
🏆 1st Prize – Team DUO

Project: DUO – Assistive Companionship Device
DUO is an interactive companionship device that turns prescribed physical therapy movements into engaging play.
- Hardware & Tracking: A smartphone acts as the device's "head," running the camera, processing on-device tracking, hosting the games, and displaying an expressive face. An ESP32-C6 microcontroller controls pan/tilt servos that physically turn the device to look at the user, creating a sense of physical presence rather than just another screen.
- Gamified Rehabilitation: Traditional shoulder and body exercises are transformed into interactive games like "Help Me Reach the Light" or "Keep the Beat With Me." The device logs personal bests and effort rather than discouraging clinical numbers.
- Companionship First: Designed strictly as a companionship project rather than a clinical medical device, DUO features six interactive games (ranging from "Catch the Light" to a boxing partner and a memory challenge) to make therapy feel like play.
